Edy's Chicken & Steak Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Edy's Chicken & Steak Restaurant feels like slipping into a warm neighborhood embrace, where the hum of contented diners mixes with the rich aroma of rotisserie chicken and earthy spices. Nestled in the heart of Bailey’s Crossroads, this inviting spot balances a relaxed pace with the lively buzz of a place that has become something of a local ritual — a comforting hub where meals are savored and familiar smiles greet you like old friends.
The atmosphere is casual but attentive, grounded by the aroma of perfectly seasoned Peruvian-style chicken slow-cooked on the rotisserie, a scent that often drifts all the way to the parking lot. Inside, the kitchen’s rhythm is visible and genuine; you can almost see the care in how each quarter chicken is carved, and in the way the chef’s quiet pride colors the air. There’s a palpable love for what they do here, which spills into every detail — from the fluffy softness of the chicken sandwiches to the fresh, crisp sides that accompany the plates.
At Edy’s, the food is a journey through familiar comfort dressed in vibrant Peruvian flavors. Whether you’re digging into a hearty plate of half chicken with yellow rice or indulging in a mix grill that brings together juicy steak and chorizo, each bite feels thoughtfully prepared — a snapshot of tradition served with warmth. The menu flows effortlessly between the everyday and the special: a quick sandwich packed with tender chicken, or a generous meat plate that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Even the simplest sides — yuca fries, house salad, or those crispy plantains — feel like essential parts of a shared experience rather than mere afterthoughts.
What sets Edy’s apart isn’t just the food, but the enduring connection it fosters. Longtime guests often return as a quiet tradition, savoring flavors that remind them of home or moments with family and friends. There's a tangible honesty here — no shortcuts, no reusing leftovers, just consistently fresh dishes made with care. It’s no surprise that for many, Edy’s is less a restaurant and more a destination, a place they willingly revisit time and again, drawn by the familiar taste and the quiet joy of an honest meal well made.

Edy’s Chicken and Steak is, without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite spots! I’ve been a loyal customer since the mid-90s, and their food has always been worth every mile of the journey. Back when I lived in Maryland, I would happily drive an hour to Virginia just to enjoy their incredible chicken sandwiches. Now that I live in California, it’s become a tradition to go straight from the airport to Edy’s whenever I’m back in town—and let me tell you, the taste is just as amazing as it was decades ago. The quality and consistency of their food are unmatched. Every bite takes me right back to the first time I tried it. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection but the chicken sandwiches are what I go for. The flavors are timeless and comforting, a true testament to their dedication to excellence. Beyond the food, the staff is another reason Edy’s stands out. They are always warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, making every visit feel special. It’s rare to find a place that not only serves exceptional food but also treats you like family. Edy’s Chicken and Steak is a gem that has stood the test of time, and I’m so grateful for all the delicious memories they’ve given me. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and make the trip—it’s worth it!

I have been coming here for years and hands down its the best service and chicken. They give you what you pay for and more. Its warm and fresh cut. They do not re-use chicken pieces that are leftover from other orders. There are some chicken restaurants that do these for their benefit. I highly recommend coming here, you will not be dissapointed. Their desserts are delicious!!!! I will be back soon. Thank you for the service you provide do not change.

I was looking for some chicken to eat, I was in this plaza and I said I will try this spot, u smell the chicken from the parking lot, we ordered Street Tacos and a quarter of a chicken, very well seasoned, ( THE CHEF HAD A SMILE ON HIS FACE BECAUSE HE LOVED HIS JOB,) as I watched him chopped the chicken in halves!!

Edy's Always Satisfies! Some of the Best Peruvian chicken around. Edy's has been a Must-Have for my family and me for years and years. The flavor of the marinated chicken and steak is always So Delicious! I love their chicken sandwich, too... the bread is So Soft, and the whole sandwich just melts in your mouth. Their 'green sauce' is my favorite of all the places I've been! Also try their desserts; their flan is Super Yummy and Rico, and their Tres Leches is Excellent as well. You just can't go wrong with Edy's! Nice atmosphere, and Great Eats. Visit once, and you'll find yourself going for years to come - Trust!! Desfruta/ Enjoy!
